For anyone that has ever been to a car show before, you understand the lengths that classic car owners will go to in order to protect their vehicle. The cars are often hauled in on a trailer, velvet ropes protect them from the visiting crowds, and much more. Specialized car insurance provides a virtual velvet rope for a variety of classic and antique vehicles. Coverage may be available for: antique cars, muscle cars, antique motorcycles, antique tractors, hot rods, streetrods, classic cars, military vehicles, collector trucks and even jeeps. If you do own a vehicle that is described in the list above, you have only met the first requirement for getting specialized car insurance. The car usually has to be at least fifteen years old to be eligible. In some states, the vehicle must be older. Also, the car has to be kept in a garage and cannot be the primary

vehicle of the household. You must have an additional vehicle for general transportation. Some insurance companies have additional requirements on top of those previously mentioned as well. It is fairly common to require that the owner of the specialized car have at least ten years of licensed driving experience with no moving or accident violations for yourself in the last three years and no more than two throughout your household. If you do have a driving spouse or children, the insurance company will sometimes require that each licensed driver have a vehicle aside from the specialized car. For a special car to be insured, it is only fitting that there are special requirements as well. Provide further protection for your classic car with a free auto insurance quote now.
